Bridging Program – TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Upgrade to the latest industry standard trainer and assessor qualification, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, with CIT Solutions Bridging Program and answer the growing needs and expectation of industry and stakeholders.
How does the Bridging Program work?
The Bridging Program acts as an upgrade to close the skill gap between you and the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualification. The program has been designed for trainers and assessors who currently hold either the TAA40104 or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and would like to upgrade.
Before beginning the program you will be assessed on your skill gap and an individualised pathway will be developed for you to obtain the upgrade. To successfully upgrade to the new qualification, the following units need to be completed:
- TAELLN411 Address Adult Language , Literacy and Numeracy Skills
- Skill gaps in TAEASS401, TAEASS403 and TAEASS502.
To help you upgrade, we’ve developed three unique training options that offer you the freedom and flexibility to complete the program how it suits you.

This option is for independent practitioners who have limited access and time to attend face-to-face sessions.
As a self-paced approach to learning, you have the flexibility and freedom to complete your study anytime, anywhere. During the program you will gain access to individualised support and guidance, should you need it.
- Fully online on our Engage Learning Platform

- Can be offered Australia-wide
3 Sessions, Face-to-Face
Offering a more structured approach to learning with a start and end date, you will complete the program in a blended format. This includes online activities and facilitated face-to-face support workshops.
This option is for independent and government practitioners who prefer face-to-face sessions and support.
- 4x day facilitated program
- Face to face support from the facilitator
- Majority of workload is done in class
- Peer support
